gives you the possibility to realize the planting of a tree seedling on a Namibian
reafforestation area by donating 5 € or more.

Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. guarantee that a tree is planted for every foster tree donation. If the planting is not possible at the declared conditions in a specific project, Bäume
für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. will pay the difference out of their funds. If it is possible to plant more than one tree from the donation, Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V.
will plant the highest possible number of trees.

Donations are essential for survival

With your donation to Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. you offer the breeding, planting and care needed to grow a seedling. In addition, this gift facilitates the administrative work of Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. around the plantings. The young trees are not factually offered, it is rather the positive effect a planted tree has on the environment that gives pleasure to the person in whose name the tree is planted.
The donator has the possibility to assign their tree donation to the current project of Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. If the planting capacity of the plot in question has already been reached, Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. will assign the donation to the respective follow-up project.

Careful selection of new projects

The selection of new projects at home and abroad is based on special locally distinct criteria.
Especially the adherence to aspects of sustainable development, ecological profit, sustainability, flexibility with regard to local and regional needs are of fundamental importance. Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. only plant indigenous tree species. as far as local conditions allow for it.

Coverage by security pool

Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. is aware of reafforestation areas of particular projects are in danger of dropping away partly or completely, temporarily or permanently due to aridity, fire, pest infestation, flood etc. Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. face this risk with their own security pool. However, Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. is not expecting such an extreme case as our reafforestation plots are spread over more than 18 different areas.

Detailed reafforestation monitoring

After a successful intervention, Bäume für Menschen – Trees for the World® e.V. register the GPSdata of the reforested areas for their monitoring program, the number of planted trees is documented by species in a report; photos of the area before and after the reafforestation are also part of the documentation. During the first seven years, a report is written every year, subsequently at least every five years, containing the base diameter of the seedlings as well as detailed information on diversity and accrescence including photos of the areas and information on protection measures against risks such as grassing over, pest infestation, aridity, fire etc. and if applicable. on applied or
necessary compensation plantings.
